Thean Hou's Temple


This temple was constructed by Buddha followers in Lipis in 1898 presided by Kapitan from Ong generation. This temple was located facing Sungai Jelai believed to look after the fishermen safety.

Statue in this temple was taken from China. In this temple there was a carved stone describing Thean Hou temple history.

In 1926, massive flood has caused part of this temple badly damaged. Therefore, this temple had been rebuilt by using concrete structure and monitored by local superintendent at during that time.

This temple which was located in the heart of Kuala Lipis town had made it an attraction to all local tourists or foreign tourists- info from MDL
