Coconut rice or nasi lemak is a dish prepared by cooking white rice (plain rice) in coconut milk or coconut flakes. As both the coconut and the rice -plant are indigenous in places all-around the world, coconut rice too is found in many cultures throughout the world such as Columbia, Venezuela, Panama, India, Thailand and Indonesia.
This dish is considered the national dish and a national heritage
In Malaysia usually coconut rice are eaten with fried eggs or sambal (spicy sauce) with anchovies in it. (read more).

Malay weddings are grand affairs where the couple is treated as royalty. The traditional wedding ceremony is in two parts. The first part is the akad nikah (marriage contract), which is the legal and religious part of the wedding. The second part is the bersanding (enthronement), which is a family celebration.
