Tapai is made from steamed glutinous rice with an addition of yeast and glucose. The concoction is packed and then incubates to fully fermented prior to serving. Traditionally offered during the wedding banquet, or taken as a snack at home.

tapai is one of our traditional food. This kind of food/snack is very popular in the east coast of Malaysia.
The taste is very sweet.
