There was also a cafe known as Ah Kow Cafe (Kantin Ah Kow) situated in this area. The most favourite local cuisine was mouthwatering kuih pau.

Tetapi Ah Kow's Canteen ni..tempat yg sgt in di zaman itu...tempat org meneguk air cap brek kapal...ha..ha..ha.Masa tu pengaruh inggeris masih kuat di daerah ni..mat salleh pun masih ramai yang jadi kaki tangan kerajaan di sini terutama di hospital daerah lipis.
